Grab
your
bike and join us for 2 weeks this May as we roll from Logan to Provo,
partnering with local sustainable efforts, rocking the bike at
pedal-powered concerts, and promoting a vision
of the Utah we all know is possible: sustainable, tolerant,
and just ~ a more utopian Utah. A Utahpia.
Utahpia 2009!
We've assembled
a cast of folks who are working hard to create Utahpia now -
everyone from non-profit organizations like TreeUtah (300,000 trees
planted and counting), to autonomous community-organized efforts
like Food
Not
Bombs, to rad social philosophers and thinkers like the staff of The
Mormon
Worker, and a BYU law professor with a community-justice streak (and
many many more), and given them
each 3-minutes
on the mic to educate the crowd about the incredible work they're up
to, followed by an invitation to get out and join them.
